By Rev. Chris Brouillard-Coyle

Congregations have often included rhythm instruments (what we call shakers) in contemporary worship opportunities. These work well with praise bands and are great for encouraging participation of young people. Keep reading.

A Voice From a Vacant Pew

By Carl Micks

I had the pleasure last summer on a rare quiet Sunday in cottage country of being able to attend a service at the local seasonal church. Aside from funerals it was the first time I have attended an Anglican service in nigh on twenty years. Keep reading.

STEWARDSHIP

Stewardship Thought - Stories Inspire Stories

More than 175 years ago, Ann Smith made a legacy gift that helped establish St. Thomas Anglican Church in Dover Township, near Chatham. Her story reminds us that generosity can outlive the giver. So can the testimony behind it. When someone tells us why they give, serve, care for creation, or offer their gifts to God, we begin to imagine what faithful stewardship might look like in our own lives. Generosity can be contagious when someone is willing to tell the story.

For the context of Ann Smith’s story, please read A Gift That Outlived the Giver.
