Deanery Refugee Committee looking for items for new family

Thanks to all who have supported the efforts of the Waterloo Deanery Refugee Committee. Our committee volunteers are busy preparing for the upcoming arrival of a Congolese Mother and her three young sons in February or March. The few household items that we still need are: bed linens (twin size), SmartTV, Mobile Phone, Collapsible Wagon, Grocery buggy and iron. We are also looking for gently used and clean boys clothing and outdoor winter clothing for ages 3, 4 and 9 years old.

Andrea Brandt and Kathy Richmond Cox are collecting donations of new school supplies (backpacks, water bottles, lunch bags and containers, pencils, etc.) Please contact them if you have any questions or have something to donate. Alternatively, financial donations to the Refugee Committee can be made through your St George’s envelope offerings (please note ‘Refugee Committee’ on your offering).

100% of donations go directly to supporting the family as they transition to a new life in Canada.
